Our Management Approach
„A man with conviction is stronger than 99 with interests” (John Stuart Mill)
There is no uniform management system and no management style which could be applied to all
company situations and/or company lifecycles. This holds true in particular in periods of interim management.
A small and young company for ex. which is supposed to capture new market shares with an above
average growth makes different demands on management than a well established and positioned larger
company. Management styles to be applied may also differ between an international expansion and a
restructuring for survival. The weighting of internal and external factors in a specific company
situation must be taken into account as well. A short management situation analysis, which accompanies
normally a strategy analysis, is the vehicule to determine ways for a successful interim management.
The requirements on an interim manager are manifold. He must be highly versatile. First of all he should have some analytical capacities and be a driving personality with empathy, good communication skills and stamina. But he should also be amiable and when needed be expressive. An interim manager should have the capacity of managing a traditional hierarchical organization on the one hand and coaching a management team on the other hand.
With our international management experience we have learned to manage companies successfully while starting at very different initial situations.
„Also a single man can be a great power” (François Mauriac)
